Welcome to my stop along the Snarkology Halloween Hop!
Trick or Treat with us from
October 26 to October 31st!
I have a giveaway! To find out the details, scroll down this post!
In preparation for Halloween, I have been pulling out some books to re-read and get me in the mood for ghosts, ghouls and mayhem.
Here are 10 Paranormal or Spooky Reads for Halloween!
GHOSTS! 1. THE GRAVEYARD QUEEN SERIES by Amanda Stevens I love this series. It has a romance story thread that goes through the series, but it is spooky too. There are ghosts, hauntings, murders... and great sexual tension! |
SERIAL KILLERS! 2. POST MORTEM by Patricia Cornwell This isn't a romance, but it is a great read that scared me silly. I continually got up and checked my locks and windows when I read it. If you like reading about serial killers and being paranoid... this could be a good read for you! |
VAMPIRES! 3. HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE by Jeaniene Frost I think part of my love for this vampire series is that Bones reminds me of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Series, and, really, you can't go wrong with that! |
MORE VAMPIRES! 4. THE HISTORIAN by Elizabeth Kostova Again, this isn't a romance, but it is a great vampire novel! It is a fat read but it kept me hooked. |
VAMPIRES AND MORE! 5. NIGHT BITES by Nina Bangs Okay, this isn't spooky. But it has vampires and other supernatural creatures and it made me laugh out loud when I read it. Plus, it is very sexy. Great combo! |
ZOMBIES! 6. FLESH by Kylie Scott This book made me realize how vulnerable my house would be in a zombie attack. That's always a good thing in a book, right? To be so immersed in it that it follows you into real life. |
GOTHIC SPOOKINESS! 7. THE MISTRESS OF TREVELYAN by Jennifer St. Giles A little gothic suspense is always fun for Halloween, right? |
WITCHES! 8. ANY WITCH WAY YOU CAN by Amanda M. Lee A mystery novel with witches... and it even starts with a ghost! |
WEREWOLVES! 9. WEATHERING ROCK by Mae Clair I love this take on the werewolf story. A bit of civil war + A bit of myth = A fun read! (The author also wrote a book with a Leviathan! So you might want to check that out too.) |
DRAGONS! 10. DOUBLE DRAGONS by Terry Bolryder Because, well, dragons! And there are 2 of them! This is a sexy read. |
